About TechStratus

Technology Should Feel a Little Less Complicated

Technology has become essential to almost every part of modern life and business. It also seems to become more complicated every year.

TechStratus exists to make that technology easier to understand, safer to use, and more effective for the people who depend on it.

From helping a senior stay safe from online scams to supporting a small business without an internal IT department, TechStratus provides practical technology solutions with a personal approach.

The TechStratus Story

Practical Technology Help for Real People

Technology companies often fall into one of two categories. Consumer support can feel impersonal and focused on fixing a single device, while business technology providers can be designed around organizations with large budgets, dedicated IT departments, and complex enterprise needs.

There is a lot of room in between.

TechStratus was created to serve the people and organizations who need knowledgeable technology support without all the unnecessary complexity.

For individuals and families, that means having someone who can patiently explain technology, solve problems, improve online safety, and provide trusted guidance.

For small businesses and organizations, it means having access to IT support, websites and digital presence, AI and automation, and technology strategy without needing multiple providers or a large internal team.

The approach is simple: understand the problem first, recommend what actually makes sense, and help make technology work better.

Meet the Owner

Jacob Courtney

Founder & Technology Consultant

TechStratus is locally owned and operated, which means when you contact TechStratus, you are working directly with the person responsible for your service.

My experience spans multiple areas of technology and digital services, including IT support, website development, branding, digital marketing, cloud technology, and practical AI implementation.

That broad experience allows me to look at technology differently. A computer problem may actually be a workflow problem. A new software platform may create more complexity instead of solving it. A website, brand, business system, and technology strategy should support one another rather than operate as completely separate pieces.

My goal is not to know everything or pretend that every project is within my capabilities. It is to understand what I can do well, set realistic expectations, and be transparent when a problem requires a different specialist.

Experience includes

The TechStratus Approach

  • Listen First

Technology recommendations should begin with understanding the problem.

Before recommending a new device, software platform, subscription, or service, TechStratus starts by learning what you are trying to accomplish.

Sometimes the best solution is new technology. Sometimes it is making better use of what you already have.

  • Explain Things Clearly

Technology does not need to be buried beneath technical terminology.

Whether explaining a problem to a home user or discussing a technology investment with a business owner, the goal is to communicate clearly enough that you understand your options and can make an informed decision.

  • Recommend What You Actually Need

More technology is not always better technology.

TechStratus focuses on solutions appropriate to your needs, budget, and level of complexity. Whenever possible, recommendations are based on what provides the best fit rather than what creates the largest sale.

  • Set Realistic Expectations

    Clear expectations build better relationships.

TechStratus is a small technology company, not a 24-hour enterprise help desk. Services are designed around capabilities that can be delivered reliably and professionally.

If something falls outside those capabilities, you deserve to know that.

  • Under-Promise and Over-Deliver

It is better to establish realistic expectations and exceed them than make promises that cannot consistently be kept.

That philosophy influences everything from response times and project schedules to managed IT services and ongoing support.

  • Build Relationships

The best technology support gets better over time.

When your technology provider understands your devices, systems, business, family, and goals, it becomes easier to solve problems and make better recommendations.

TechStratus aims to become a trusted technology resource you can return to as your needs change.

Trust Matters

Technology providers are often given access to important devices, accounts, business systems, and personal information. That responsibility should be taken seriously.

  • Insured

TechStratus maintains appropriate business insurance as part of operating professionally and responsibly.

  • Secure Tools

Professional tools and security practices are used when accessing, monitoring, or supporting customer technology.

  • Respect for Confidentiality

Information encountered while providing support is treated with care and discretion. Access is limited to what is reasonably necessary to perform the requested work.

  • Professional Standards

Clients deserve clear communication, realistic expectations, responsible handling of technology, and transparency about the limits of a service.

  • Recommendations Without Unnecessary Sales Pressure

Whenever practical, TechStratus aims to recommend technology based on what fits the customer's needs rather than a particular manufacturer or vendor.

If a recommendation involves a product, service, partnership, referral arrangement, or other financial interest that could influence the recommendation, that relationship should be communicated clearly.

One Technology Partner

Technology rarely fits neatly into separate boxes.

The person helping with your computers may need to understand your cloud environment. A website project may affect your marketing. AI adoption may require changes to security policies. A family technology problem may involve devices, accounts, Wi-Fi, and online safety at the same time.

That is the idea behind TechStratus.

Personal Technology. Business IT. Digital Presence. AI & Automation. Technology Consulting.

Different needs, connected by one goal: making technology work better for the people who use it.
